Over the years we have had the opportunity to affiliate ourselves with industry professionals and personalities. Fremont River Guides are also considered to be part of a small group fortunate enough to frequent some of the major Satellite and Cable networks and participate in fly fishing and hunting shows.
Fly Fishing Masters Invitational - OLN/Versus
Fremont River Guides hosted the 2005 Fly Fishing Masters Invitational as the western regional venue on Versus. This took place on the Fremont River at one of our quality leased waters. Our guides judged the event and Shawn Saunders, the owner, was instrumental in bringing the event to southern Utah.
Eight anglers from the west were invited to participate including past champions Steve & Tim Rajeff, Frank Smethurst and Gifford Matham. Watch as these guys try to fish their way through two days of chilly weather and waining hatches. The final day brought warmer weather, bigger fish and a great show. In the end, Gifford Matham (guide from Taylor Creek, Colorado) and Hutch Hutchinson (Orvis western regional rep.) proved to be at the top with a big final run to take down past champion Steve Rajeff (undisputed world fly casting champion)and his partner Tom Bie of the Drake and Powder magazine.
The Fly Fishing Master is also considering us again in the future to hold the finals. Plans are underway to bring Fly Fishing the World in 2009 and we're looking forward to filming another quality show.
Reel Outdoors with Chris Bailey - The Sportsman Channel
Three episodes were completed in 2007 which started to air on the Sportsmans Channel (cable) in April 2008. These episodes continue to air and the schedule can be found on the Sportsmans Channel website.
These are incredible shows which took place in June, 2007 during the best dry fly fishing of the season. Many big browns, rainbows and cutthroat were landed and the show is something every fly fisher would appreciate.
See Chris Bailey and Shawn Saunders dual it out on the Fremont River and other un-named waters of southern Utah as they go after some remarkable fish. Don't miss their bantering back and forth about fly selection and who will be next up as they switch off after every fish caught. This is truly a comical show and you'll love the fly of choice, the "tard-noble".

Henry Mountain Buffalo Hunt Coming Soon!
Filmed in November of 2007 after Chris Bailey's son Danny drew the tag. After Chris had submitted for this draw over 11 years, it came as a big surprise when his son drew the tag his first year applying for it.
These mountains made for a majestic hunt and a monster 8-9 year old bull. Countless monster muley's were seen that it made tracking the Bison a distraction. This lone bull was harvested opening morning at around 9 a.m. which was likely the first animal shot for this particular hunt.

A tribute to fly tying DVD
This show was filmed in late June, 2006 and is available on DVD at www.sportingfly.com. Shawn Saunders and Dave Long go in search of superb dry fly fishing. They found it late in the evening as the Caddis were out by the millions and so were the browns. They fish into the night and you'll appreciate the incredible footage of flies being tied on under headlamp.
