Shawn Saunders - Outfitter
Shawn Saunders has spent most of his personal and professional life in pursuit of the outdoors. His love of fly-fishing and hunting adventures have taken him to international destinations such as Belize, the Bahamas, Mexico, Alaska as well as all of the western states. Shawn also enjoys hiking, golfing, training retrievers and photography. In order to feed this passion, Shawn has been a professional guide and instructor for over 16 years in Idaho, Arizona and Utah.
Shawn can seasonally be seen on the Sporstman Channel with Reel Outdoors and has hosted the Flyfishing Masters on Versus in the past. He is a regular at consumer shows and casting competitions such as The Fly Fishing Show and International Sportsmans Expositions.
He started his career while attending B.Y.U. Idaho as a licensed fly-fishing guide in the Sun Valley area during the summer months. Shawn opened his first fly shop at the age of 29 and now continues his dedication in the industry as an outfitter and guide based in southern Utah.
Through his professional and personal interaction with clients, he has learned that fly-fishing and hunting can be therapeutic in many ways and his passion is working with people in this environment. You will often find Shawn enjoying the outdoors with his wife and four children or one of his canine companions.
