Red River Ranch Preserve

Hunting the Red River Ranch Preserve is what a bird hunting dreams are made of! The few hunters found here are spread out in different tracts in an area over 1,500 acres wide. The variety of terrain and scenery makes for an unforgettable experience.

Moenkopi cliffs of Red Rock overlook our hunting grounds as the Fremont River meanders it’s way through the property. Wild Quail, Chukar and Pheasants also find the habitat here perfect as they nest in lush cover crops, feed in nearby grain fields and water in the stream. Enjoy upland hunting as you surround yourself in the beauty of southern Utah’s “Canyon Country”.

Our guides will familiarize you with the many different options offered here. Along with the wonderful southern Utah upland bird hunting the Red River Ranch Preserve offers, waterfowl hunting for ducks is another option you don’t want to miss.

Whether you jump ducks off the river on one of hundreds of river bends or sit in a blind over decoys…the ranch is sure to please. Ducks of all species migrate through southern Utah and neighboring marshes like the Bicknell Bottoms attract good numbers for the waterfowler.

Built on the grand scale of the great western lodges, The Lodge at Red River Ranch blends rich western history with modern convenience. Guarded by a row of ancient elms and cottonwoods, The Lodge captures the heritage and majesty of the Old West. Legend tells that it stands on the site of a nineteenth-century stagecoach stop.

The Lodge features a three-story Great Room with rugged, open-beam construction, a massive Anasazi stone fireplace, and an unparalleled collection of authentic Navajo rugs. Fifteen unique guest rooms and suites are decorated with attractive, rustic furnishings and décor, with its own fireplace to complete the setting. Each has a private balcony or garden patio that creates the perfect place for reflection.
