The Fremont River is nestled in the heart of south-central Utah. High atop the Fishlake National Forest is where you will find it’s headwaters and the area is home to wild cutthroat, rainbow, brook and brown trout. As you descend the higher elevations, the Fremont River brown and rainbow trout are more prevalent. The lower sections are located between the famous Boulder Mountains to the south and Thousand Lakes Mountain to the north. We have access to miles of private water on the Fremont River as well as other neighboring streams and spring creeks.

Other off the beaten path streams and creeks make southern Utah a destination you will not soon forget. There are also thousands of acres of irrigated pastures, native grasses and supplemental cover crops which are home to Pheasant, Chukar, Quail, Turkey and Grouse. Fishlake is a high alpine lake (elevation approximately 8,848 ft) located in the Fishlake/ Southern Wasatch Plateau region of south-central Utah and is what the Fishlake Mountains are named after. It lies within and is the namesake of the Fishlake National Forest.
More importantly, the neighboring streams to the lake are Sevenmile Creek and UM Creek which downriver form the headwaters of the Fremont River. Sevenmile produces large quantities of Brook trout in the 6-10 inch range and UM supports a healthy population of re-introduced Colorado River Cutthroat from 6-16 inches. Tiger Trout can be found as well and some may reach or exceed 20 inches, but they are very wiley and hard fighting bruisers.
