Bordering our private fly fishing waters on the Fremont River is the Capitol Reef National Park. The Velvet Ridge, thousand foot red rock cliffs, border the river and are home to various Eagles, Hawks and Falcons. Our private waters are unmatched in beauty coupled with the quality of the fly fishing.
Entering the national park is just a ten minute drive. The Boulder Mountains border the Fremont River on the south and are home to over 50 fishable lakes. Art galleries, novelty stores, restaurants, motels and lodges can be found near the river as well. Hiking, mountain biking, ATV riding, jeep touring, white water rafting and other activities are found here as well.
Lodge at Red River Ranch guests receive a 25% discount on guided trespass fees as well as 25% off rod fees if fishing without a guide. Reservations for lodging and fishing must be booked in advance with Fremont River Guides. Discounts may not apply during specific prime season dates. Phone – (435) 491-0242
Built on the grand scale of the great western lodges, The Lodge at Red River Ranch blends rich western history with modern convenience. Guarded by a row of ancient elms and cottonwoods, The Lodge captures the heritage and majesty of the Old West. Legend tells that it stands on the site of a nineteenth-century stagecoach stop.
The Lodge features a three-story Great Room with rugged, open-beam construction, a massive Anasazi stone fireplace, and an unparalleled collection of authentic Navajo rugs. Fifteen unique guest rooms and suites are decorated with attractive, rustic furnishings and décor, with its own fireplace to complete the setting. Each has a private balcony or garden patio that creates the perfect place for reflection.
